Input representations

Below are examples of some of the most used input representations in VI systems. They are extracted for the first 60 seconds of the song "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey.

The y-axes represent musical notes (in "dominant melody", "multi-pitch", and 'CQT' figures) and pitch classes (in "pitch class profile" figure), the x-axes represent time, and the color scale indicates the energy/intensity of such notes/pitch classes on a given time frame.
